Yesterday, we were given the opportunity to listen to Jason Chin, a non-fiction author. We loved his book Coral Reefs and Redwoods! He talked to us about how he collects the research for his books and how he does his illustrations. What did you find most interesting about his presentation? What was your favorite thing he told you?
I liked Jason Chin's presentation . I liked coral reefs the best. I did not know he could draw so well. I also did't know that he travels to the place he studies. I liked when he talked about water lizard.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing he told us about scuba diving was the sea lion blowing bubbles! I thought that was so funny! My favorite book that he wrote was Coral Reefs. ReplyDeleteThe most interesting thing was when he was drawing it looked like a REAL picture. My favorite thing Jason Chin said was he went scuba diving with the Coral Reefs. And when he was face to face with a wild animal.

ReplyDeleteJason Chin's talk was extremely interesting! I didn't know that an illustrator lived by him. It was neat when he got inspiration for a future job by having an illustrator come to his school!

ReplyDeleteMy Uncle is a author and that is how he finds his information
DeleteIliache ho he traveled to islands and landmarks. He holds the pen funny. That turtle he showed us was huge.
ReplyDeleteThe beginning was I like how it was a typo.
ReplyDeleteI liked Jason Chin's stories that he told. I also liked his picture of a Galapagos turtle. He is a very good author and illustrator. I liked his presentation. See you tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI thought that it most interesting when he told us he went under water to find information about the book Coral Reefs. I also thought it was interesting that there was a rule that you couldn't touch any animals on Galapagos. I wonder if a bird lands on your shoulder and you are really still if you get kicked out since it says no touching animals?
ReplyDeleteI found it interesting that he travels to places far away to get information for his books. I found it also interesting that he painted pictures of what he saw that was interesting. One of the favorite things he told us was when he went diving and the seal blew bubbles at him and he blew them back.
ReplyDeleteSame here
DeleteI found it interesting that turtles can be as tall as a human on hind legs. I think Jason Chin is a great illustrator as well as a author. I hope he can make more "chain" books(Books that are chained together by characters).
