Theme!

We have been working on identifying themes in books during Reader's Workshop!

Let's think back to The One and Only Ivan and How to Steal a Dog. Think very carefully. Can you think of a theme for either of these books? Please share your theme and the reason why you think that it works for the book! Also, you may think of a theme for the book of your choice!

Enjoy!

  1. Hi! From How to Steel a Dog one of the themes I remember is Georgina never gave up on getting the dog. Another one I remember is she set her mind on the dog and did it. A new book I have a theme from is The Genius Files From Texas With Love I remember that Coke and Pep never gave up on ciphers and didn't stop trying. I love themes 3-P ROCKS!!! for the second last time.

  6. I love working on theme. I think a theme in The One and Only Ivan Is the golden rule. Ivan treats Ruby the way that he would want to be treated.

  7. The One And Only Ivan
Ivan was living with humans most of his life. I think a good theme for that is...
When life gives you lemons makes lemonade. (make the best of what life gives you.)
