I am writing about paddle boarding with my niece. I am writing my first draft. I used a dialogue hook. I started my story with Anastasia asking me if I wanted to paddle board. I haven't used a show not tell yet, but I want to. I can't wait to actually publish so that I can illustrate. But, I might just bring in real pictures of the incident. I have really enjoyed reading you all's narratives. I love all of the show not tells. For example, Read wrote "pumps his fists" instead of saying I am excited/proud. Way to go, Read. I loved Talan's onomatopoeia BAM! keep up the great writing!

I am starting off when I was sleeping and my alarm clock off at 6:00 A.M and it sounded like this Bang badoo ba ba ba blig. I have a couple of show not tells. I am writing my first draft. I super duper duper with pancakes on top that you like my personly narrative! Bye the way I bet all your stories are going to be good to.

ReplyDeleteI just finished my first draft on the time I played Toto in the Wizard of Oz at camp. I started with a hook and I did a show not tell about being sad when the play was over. I love to write!
