As we have read several Native American legends, we have enjoyed creating our own list of the important elements of a good legend. Most importantly, we now know that the main purpose of a legend is to explain something in the natural world.
Let's brainstorm some ideas for our legends!
What will your legend explain? What are some possible character names that you will use? Think about our character list that we started in class. Will the Creator/Great Spirit have a role in your legend? What about the number 4?

I was thinking, if I was going to involve God in my legend, I would definitely use
Sorry! Something happened with the computer, and it didn't post everything! So, If I involved God in my legend, I would use either the creator or the great spirit. And for the number 4, I would use 4 people in a family, 4 winds, or doing something 4 times. :)

I want to do a legend about a rabbit that sees all his friends catching food but he has trouble catching his own food and asks god for something. God gives him elastic strings and pink and white paper. To find out what he does with them Read my legend. witch will be published by January.

I want to do How the Bull Dog Got its Shape and use creator! In the legend the dog will try 4 times to get the perfect shape to not be made fun of. He decides that " Sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me." The names I will use are Bull Dog or Dog.
