Panda Path Reflections

Panda Path Reflections...hearts filled with JOY!

We had the most rewarding experience today sharing our books with new Pre-K friends at Panda Path!

Reflecting on the day, what did you enjoy most? How did it feel reading and giving the books to the students? Please share any thoughts that you have about this wonderful experience!

  1. It was such a joy for me to see each of you sharing your love of reading with our Panda Path little buddies! My heart singing as I watched you all so tenderly reading your books with such kind, friendly eyes and excellent character voices. I loved seeing Sam make his buddy chuckle! I can just imagine your buddies enjoying their books in their classrooms and at their homes. I wish that we could have stayed longer. I am so proud of you all. It feel so good to give.

  2. I loved Panda Path! I felt so good giving instead of receiving. They were so cute. My first buddy was named Camilla ( thats camille in spanish ). She spoke spanish. I thought she was going to be shy but I got her to talk. I did a lot of counting with my buddies. My second buddy was named Hailey. She spoke english. Georgia and I both had Hailey. I loved our trip to Panda Path! And I hope EVERYONE did!

  6. It was cool to read a book to them and then
give one of your books to them and then
give all of your books to the library at their
school! And yes Jaqueline It was also pretty
cool to be their book buddy too! (book buddies

  7. Panda Path was AWESOME. It felt good giving to other people instead of getting from other people. It felt like I had a second book buddy. Most of them could speak english almost fluently so we could have a little conversation. Most of them weren't even shy! :)

  10. The kids at Panda Path were sooooooo cute! I was with 2 boys named Ricardo and Jose. Ricardo was shy, but he spoke a little English and Spanish to me and Georgia Cooper. Jose was very quiet, but he was sweet, too. They both LOVED The Cat in the Hat a lot! I had just found a spot in heart for those 2 little boys and it made me feel so good to make someone happy!

He picked a book I brought called Pirates don't take baths. My 2nd buddie was named Nisa! She spoke Spanish only. I talked to her but she kept quiet! I think she couldn't understand me. She was really shy. She picked a book called KAPOW! Even though she couldn't understand me we still had fun.In ways Panda Path was AWESOME! See you tomorrow! 3-P ROCKS! :)

  15. Panda Path was AWESOME! My 1st buddy's name was Juan. He was fun! When I asked him some questions he answered back in not that much of a shy voice. He could also speak English. He chose one of my favorite books when I was in Pre-K and K. The name is "Froggy Goes to Bed". My second buddy's name was Anderson. He was REALLY shy. The only thing he said was, "Bye."
