Greece and Guatemala!

We have been digging into Culture Grams to gain new learning on Greece and Guatemala. Our Venn Diagram is going to be very educational for others to read! Please share some of your new learning about either country!

  1. Hi. today I learned about Guatemala. The facts I learned today were. Guatemala's population is 11 million. Guatemala They only have 1 meal per day. Their main sport is soccer. Sorry but I have to go. 3-P ROCKS!

  4. Here are some facts I learned about Greece. 1. Mount Olympus was the first National Park in Greece. 2. Greece has 200$ bills and 500$ bills. 3. There are over 2,000 islands in Greece fewer than 200 are inhabited. 4. Athens is named after Goddess Athena. 5. Athens has 2 international Airports. 6. Greek hero Alexander the Great died at the age of 33. Bye!

  5. Hi charlie here. I was studying Greece. I learned that dolphins are a co min sight around Greece. There are more than 2,000 island in Greece but only 60 of them are populated. There favorite sport is soccer but they also played basket ball. By

  6. In Guatemala when hailing a taxi making a bigger hand motion indicates you have a greater distance to travel. On the Island of Delos in Greece it is illegal to be born or die there. Guatemalans live on less than a dollar a day.

    Official name is the Hellenic Republic
    Greece has dry summers and mild winters
    It's population is over 10,000,000
    It is 50,949 square miles and is the 97th largest country in the world
    Greece's capital is Athens

    Guatemala

    Official name is the Republic of Guatemala
    It is 42,043 square miles
    Guatemala is the largest country in Central America
    Guatemala's official bird is the Quetzal and it's money is a Quetzal, too
    Guatemala's capital is Guatemala City

  11. I learned that people in Guatemala love coffee. Guatemala is the biggest country in Central America. The people don't point their finger at someone or something. Most people can only afford one meal a day. The rest of the day they just snack on tortillas. Most people can't pay for school. The name of their money is the same name as their national bird (quetzal). Monks built the arch so that they could go unseen. The area is about 42,040 square miles.

  13. Hi! It's Thomas. I studied Greece. I learned that the population of Greece is 15 million. Greece has over 2,000 islands but people only live on about 200 of them!   14. In Greece, people smile when they happy, but also when they are mad or angry. It is hot dry and mild in the summer. In the winter it is wet and cold. There are more then two thousand Greek islands. The name marathon was named after a Greek legend.

  15. Hi! Learning about Greece and Guatamala was really cool. I learned that Guatamalan don't point with their fingers but with their lips. Greek people smile When they are angry at someone or something. They name "marathon" came from a legend about a soldier messenger who had to run 26 miles. What a long run!
