I read a lot over our Thanksgiving break! No, I did not finish All the Light We Cannot See, but I did read several pages of it. Oh, my. Poor Marie. Her father has not returned in many, many days. She did receive a letter from him. He told her that he was getting delicious meals each days. She knows deep in her heart that that is not true. Finally, the housekeeper took her outside the house and to the beach. I started a new book call The Work. It is about how important it is to find work that satisfies your heart by doing good for others. I will tell you more about it soon. The author, Wes Anderson, is so interesting. He even visited Kinkaid earlier this year!

ReplyDeleteI have been reading a book called love that Dog. It is a poem book. Its about a class that has to right a poem. So the boy thinks and thinks but he says in his mind "boys don't write poems girls do". So as the months go on they have to write a poem similar to another poem. After he read the other persons poem he made a better poem from the old one.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading My Hero. I am loving it. Its a chapter book and in each chapter it tells a story on how different dogs save peoples lives. it is kind of sad to see these people get hurt. But, i smile everytime the dog saves them.

DeleteI am reading a good book these days I just started it today it's going good! It is called because of Winn-Dixie. It's a great book I just started reading it today it is great it's the best book I've ever read I'm really getting into it.Emmy is reading it to she likes it! I'm so glad Miss P. Introduced me to this book! It's really a good book! And assign you this book was this good I would have read it ages ago. miss P. Takes out the best books and reads them.

I am reading stick Dog gets ice cream. It is about five dogs named Poo Poo, Stripes, Mutt, Karen and Stick Dog. They are tring to find clean water. I just finished Big Nate On a Roll. II also am reading Dairy of a Wimpy kid Old School. So thats what i am reading.
ReplyDeleteI just finished reading Dork Diaries tales from a not so perfect pet sitter. I have not gotten hooked into a good book yet. I think I am going to read a Big Nate. My top to favorite book series are 1.Dork Diaries 2.Big Nate. I have not gotten a book recommendation from Ms.Papadakes But need to. Readers work shop is my favorite part of the day. I have read 12 books this year! I love reading! Bye see you guys tomorrow at school!
ReplyDeleteI just finished Riding Freedom! It was such a good book I loved it! It was Ms. Papadakes"s recommendation. Now I am reading Because of Winn-Dixie!! I love it it is SO funny! I really like the charter Opel. She meats a lot of people. From the description of Winn-Dixie he sounds supper cute! As you can see I have REALLY gotten to the book !!!! Thank you SO SUPPER SUPPER SUPPER much I love it SO much!!! I will see you guys at school tomorrow

I have been reading lots of good books lately. I have just started a new series called "Malory". Mary recommended it to me. It is about a little girl named Mallory. It is realistic fiction. I love the series. My favorite book in the series is "Camp Fire Malory". In this book she goes to camp with her best friend Maryann. They have been friends for a long time. But Maryann finds a new friend at camp. And things are not going her way!! She haze to be buddies with a annoying girl named Caron Green. I can not tell you to much about the book. I am also about to read Diary of a Wimpy kid The Last Straw. That is an update on Gus's reading. stay classy ms papadakes's class.
ReplyDeleteI just finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It is the last book in the series. I can't wait to watch the movie now that I have read the book. I also finished Stick Dog Dreams of Ice Cream and The Magic Trap. In The Magic Trap, the main characters Evan and Jessie survived a category 1 hurricane alone. I'm currently reading The Flying Beaver Brothers which was recommended to me by Houston.
ReplyDeleteI just finished Lights, Camera, Stilton! a Geronimo Stilton graphic novel. Right now I am reading Amphitrite the Bubbly, a book in the Goddess Girls series. It is my second time reading it. I want to read all the books in the Big Nate series.

I am starting a good series called The Familiars. I am totally sucked into it! The main character is a cat. He is named Aldwyn. He lies to his friends Gilbert and Skylar that he is telepathic and can control things with his mind. Gilbert wants to really know if he can read minds. Aldwyn guesses "flies," and Gilbert thinks that he can really read minds. Later in the book Aldwyn figures out he can move things with his mind. I am on book 2. It is about finding the snow leopard's crown to return magic to Vastia. Aldwyn, Skylar and Gilbert are trying to stop the evil rabbit Paksahara. They go under ground to find the snow leopard's crown. I am on page 107. See you in class tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI have started to read a lot optical illusions books like amazing optical illusions. I am also reading books about myths and legends witch is really fun. The best part though is e-reading on the iPads.

ReplyDeleteI am reading a book called The Order of the Unicorn. I am so sucked into it! Its about a big adventure. The series is called The Imaginary Veterinary. There is 1 more book in the series for me to read.
ReplyDeleteI am reading Because of Winn Dixie. There is a girl named Opal. She finds a dog at a grocery story called Winn Dixie. The dog had bald spots and ratty hair. The employees of the store were going call the pound. Opal cared about that dog. She shouted, "No! That is my dog. Don't call the pound." She called the dog by staying, "Here, boy!" She said it again. Then she said, "Here Winn Dixie!" And, the dog came to her. So, she ended up taking him home! Her father is a preacher. Opal takes good care of the dog. The dog has many talents and can smile. Opal goes to Open Arms Baptist Church. Winn Dixie could not stand to be alone, so he went inside the church with them. The church used to be a Pick It Quick Store, so there were rats. Winn Dixie went chasing after it. Opal has two friends so far. One is named Frannie Block, an old, short librarian. She also knows two brothers named the Dewberry boys. They said that Gloria Dump is a witch. I can't wait to read more! This book is just as amazing as Ms. Papadakes promised me that it would be! I totally trust her recommendation!
