Please share with us your idea for your own legend. What are you going to explain? How the stars came to be? How mountains were formed?
What is your setting going to be? Who are your characters?

I think I will do how birds got their chirp. There will be a little Comanche girl named robin. She will go on a adventure and will meet a bird named Crow. My setting will be in the Great Plains. I don't want to spoil the rest so YOU can read it when its ready. By see you tomorrow!

DeleteMy legend is about how the flower, Indian Paintbrushes got their color. The Hopi tribe in the late summer was experiencing a drought. There had been no rain for 6 weeks! They asked the grandmother spirit of the Hopi tribe what they could do to get the rain to come back. The Grandmother told them they must give to the rain Gods something that means the most to them by throwing into a canyon. All the Hopi tribe had a hard time giving up their most favorite thing. A boy named Fish, gave his red bow and arrow that is Father gave to him before he passed away. The Grandmother and rain Gods saw this and it started pouring rain and the fields were covered bright red Indian paintbrushes matching the color of his bow and arrow. The tribe was saved, thanks to the generous boy Fish. The end..

DeleteI am writing about how the stars came to be. My tittle is "The Legend of the Light". My story is about a woman who is preparing the food for the tribe feast tomorrow night. She is picking berries. Than there is a spark in the sky. It flickers. But nothing happens. It dose it again. But she still dose not node. Than the light stays in the sky. She dose not nodes. Than the howl night lights up. Finally she sees the light. She rushes to her clan to tell them what has happened. They do not believe her. Finally her brother checks. He runs to tell all of the clans. You will have to read it. The characters are Woman, Our Grand Mother, Brother and old mother. I think I am done. See you all tomorrow.:)
ReplyDeleteI might not do a legend but if i did it it would be how the jack rabbit got is long ears. It would have a Shawnee boy and girl nammed Blue and Chi they will help each eather find the jack rabbit. The setting will be in the plains.
ReplyDeleteI think mine will be about how flowers came to be. I think I will call it 'How Flowers First Bloomed'. It will be about a little Shawnee girl who loves playing with animals but she thinks the colors of the earth are dull. Then she meets Blue Jay and Blue Jay tells her how to find some prettier colors like pink. I think it will be fun to write a legend!
ReplyDeleteMy legend is Why Chicken Can't Fly. The charters names would chicken, mole and dolphin. The setting would be in the plains that is near a Ocean.

ReplyDeleteMy legend will be how some sharks got a white tip on there fin. My seating is in the Pacific Ocean. The ocean is salty, warm and blue. My shark's name in my legend is Fins. He has a friend named Billy. Billy is also a shark. Mark is the fisherman. He uses a boat that is long, strong, heavy and tall. Mark wants to catch a shark but fails. So Mark wants to catch Fins. So then he tries again but still fails. On a very hot day, he tries one more time but then while Fins was on the line he was wrestling with Mark. But the only thing out of the water was the tip of the shark's top fin.
ReplyDeleteI think that I would write a legend called How The Moon Got Its Different Colors. So one day a very strong boy named Rocky painted a very large boulder different colors of yellow, white, blue, orange, and red. His friends challenged him to throw the boulder as far up as he could. Rocky was so strong that he threw the boulder so high into the sky that it stayed there forever. So on different nights if you look at the moon, you can see one of the many colors that Rocky painted.
ReplyDeleteI will write a legend of the deer. The charactrs will be tree,moon a boy named John and a girl named susan. john will help susan past the evil tree. Moon will distract the tree. the setting is going to be next to a mesa in the hopi village.

ReplyDeleteI disided I do not want to write a legend. But I can't wait to read everbody's soon! I heard a bit of Daphne and sounds realy good. I heard Bennetts idea and Mary threy sound awesome. The ones in the past are good to. To point one out I liked Lauren"s it rocks! I can't wait to go to Panda Path!

I am not sure what I am going to do for my legend. I might do how the full moon came to be or something about a hamster. I think that I will do it about the full moon. You will find out soon!
