  10. I loved Canada so I am writing about it. Did you know that 80% of the worlds maple syrup comes from Canada? I also learned that the state Quebec speaks french and that they want to break up with Canada and become their own country. hmmmm hmm oh, sorry I was just humming Canada's PRETTY national anthem! But you know what else I learned?! I learned that some people live in igloos and you know what, they make beds out of ice and snow can you imagine sleeping on a bed of frost every night!

  18. Canada and Italy were so much fun! In Italy we went to Venice, Rome and Naples. In Venice Mrs. Malek [Saya's mom] was wearing a pretty dress and a beautiful mask. Mrs. Malek even sang a little bit of opera. In Naples they gave us sorbet, which was delicious! They also talked to us about pizza being started in Naples. In Rome we met Michelangelo an famous artist who died many years ago. Someone was also dressed up as a gladiator, we also talked about paintings that Michelangelo made. They made the walls look like the outside of the coliseum. Mrs. Brown had some euros and we pretended to buy pizza keychains but we actually got them for free. We got to kick soccer balls into a goal. These were some highlights of what I experienced when my class went to International Fair Italy! Things we learned in Canada were about the maple syrup and maple trees. We got to play some ice hockey with Gretchen's dad. We also went fishing, but I asked one of the ladies if you could actually pull out the toy fish but she said it din't actually work because the magnet wasn't strong enough, but Andrew A. got a fish on his own because he pulled it out quickly. We also got to see a fake igloo and these two ladies gave us arrowhead necklaces. Those were the highlights of Canada! I really liked International Fair!!!
