  1. I have been using optimism by preceding to work in my Oregon Trail journal. It has been super super fun! In math, sometimes I can get stuck on a problem. But I use persistence to get it right. I love how creative the mindsets are!

  2. Every day we are using flexibility because Ms. P has to change the day. Plus I am using flexibility right now by typing so slowly. When 3-D came we were using flexibility. So we use FLEXIBILITY a lot.

  3. Today we used flexibility when 3-D came in. We were resilient when we didn't get to start our journal because Madeline was sick. I think we are doing a great job of using the mindsets.

  4. I have noticed people showing resilience in their Oregon Trail journals when they had to rewrite their first entry. The whole class and Ms. P. show flexibility because our schedule is always changing! That also shows resilience if we have to postpone something fun.

  5. I used resilience when I had to do my pioneer journal again because I made the margins wiggly and rewrote. I used flexibility to think outside the box for my Oregon Trail Journal and make something fun! I use persistence for trying to do a math problem that I don't know the answer to. I never realized how important mindsets are. Wow!

  6. In the classroom I am having optimism in math! Sometimes if a problem or question is to hard or I got it wrong I will be optimistic and try again in a good and happy mood! If I am in a position where somebody is hurt feelings or injured I will help them by ether taking them to and adult for some help or talk it out with them say some nice words and make them feel better ! If I cant get a pass or throw in P.E. then I will be flexible and put a big smile on my face! I will try my best to accomplish these strategy and make the good out of a disagreement!

  8. In math sometimes its hard so the mindset is probably flexibility. And in the Oregon trail. And with really anything. And if I'm typing a comment and it gets deleted and you have to type it all over again...that shows perseverance!

  9. Well I don't wan't to brag but I happen to remember that my F.A. was erased by the computer but I redid it i think that is showing Flexibility. Something that I saw was that the whole grad was Resilient because our felled trip was canceled. Everybody has shown a lot of all the mindsets and done great things.

  10. There are 5 mindsets. I used Persistence when I made my Pioneer Journal less like a Personal Narrative book, so I had to erase some of it. I used resilience when I couldn't draw someone in my Pioneer Journals head big enough, so I had to try to make it bigger and that took a while. I also used empathy when someone accidentally pressed redo on their computer and that cleared their whole blog, that happens a lot to me when we blog and I get really frustrated and puzzled because I worked really hard on it and then it is just gone, it disappeared, and some of it was really long so I know how it feels when someone does that on accident because they put their hard work into it.

  11. Today, we were flexible by letting some 3-D kids coming in and read. We are also flexible almost every day because Ms.P keeps changing the order of our day. Also today, my math group had to show persistence because we played a game that is supposed to be played with three people, with four people. All of us have to be optimistic when we want to have outdoor recess, but we end up having indoor recess.

  13. Today our class was using the mindset of flexibility by letting 3-D have 30-G with us.
Yesterday our class was using the mindset of empathy by understanding that Mrs. Venosdale has to work with everyone in the Lower School and sometimes can't make some of the classes happen. Our hole class uses the mindsets so so well.

  14. When Mrs. Dewhurst's students came we were flexible because Mrs. Dewhurst's was busy. and I was flexible when I had to restart my book. ):-( and every one uses mindsets all the time! You just don't notice.

  15. I do not mean to brag but Ms. Papadakes posted this so here I go. Once Upon a time there lay a classroom in Houston called 3-P and within the classroom the children did Oregon Trail journals. I was pessimistic at first because I thought the Oregon Trail journal was long so I thought there is a 100% chance I would mess up at any part but then I wrote the first page and then I did 0 mistakes 6th page and still I have 0 mistakes now I always want to do the journal. Which shows optimism. Next I once wanted to have outdoor recess but it was raining so I thought to myself there is always tomorrow. That finishes optimism. Next flexibility. Once I was writing about my Time For Kids Article we had to do four sections but I needed six so I squished it together. Next lets move to Persistance shall we. Once I was writing my realistic fiction book and I thought I was not going to finish at all or in time and the closer I got the farther it seemed that I would get to finish the book then I finished. Next resilience. Once I was writing my realistic fiction book and I realized I hated my intro so I erased it a rewrite it. Next Empathy Once I was going to the bathroom and I realized someone left their lunchbox so I put it in their backpack for him. Lastly the stuff outside the Classroom once we were running 1 lap around the track in 39 degree weather and I gave my best effort and got second out of Emmett, Bain and Carney.
