Art Car Fun!

Today's assembly was amazing! The yarn trick was awesome! I think Ms. Yasi was really shocked.

Please share how you got the idea for your car. What setbacks did you have in the process of making your car? What mindsets did you use?

  1. I got my idea from the fact that I love learning about volcanoes. My setback was that the cone for my volcano would not stick and the top part was hard to cut. I showed resilience because I did not give up.

  2. I really had to persist in a lot of my Stella Car. Stella is my dog, and yes. She really is that black. The inspiration for the car, was that spending time with Stella, was one of my hobbies. And also, that I loved Stella.I had to persist in her ears, because they wouldn't stand upright. I also had to persist in her color. There were a lot of spills. but, in the end, I reached my goal. It was so much fun!

  3. On my art car I had to use Optimism because got green paint on my cheese. I wanted to make a cheese burger because It's my favorite food. We all had to be flexible because the real art cars couldn't come. I love the art car parade!

  4. I had the idea to to a tic toc car because my friend was doing a snapchat car so I thought I should do an app car too, so I thought about the apps that I like and I chose tic toc. I made it by using two small boxes and gluing them together, then I painted the sides blue, the back magenta, and the front and top black. I lined the rim with eraser stars. the I glued a tic toc logo on the front. Then I had to cut cardboard in circles for the wheels. I had to be optimistic when I was gluing the stars because they kept falling off.

  5. I got the idea from the magic school bus. But I added some hair and a beard. One of my setbacks were putting on the wheels they kept falling of. I used flexibility when our paint got ruined so I used Keen's.

  6. I love Art Car so much! This year my Art Car was all my favorite things cucumbers, cooking, and football. I made separate things for each topic and at the end taped it all together. My setback was when my cucumber would not stay on the base of the car without falling over of the car. I used Flexibility to try to keep finding more ways to make it stay. Mrs. Taylor is so fun!

  7. My car is a unicorn car. I got the idea for a unicorn because I love them. My unicorn was supposed to be white, but there was no white so I went with a light blue. Also, I had to paint the wheels instead of making them because I ran out of time. I think I used flexibility a lot making my car. Making my art car was so fun!

  9. I used resilience because the eyes of my banana car kept falling off. I thought the bike was gonna be for Ms. Ramirez. Ms. Yasi was super surprised that the bike was for her. I got the idea from lunch. I just had eaten a banana.

  11. Art Car day is a really fun day at Kinkaid! It is one of my favorites. This year when I tried to create my art car I listed three things that I like: number 1 was a pug, number 2 was a chicken, and number 3 was a YouTube car. Then I remembered that I did a chicken car last year. I ended up choosing a pug car. I knew what a pug looked like so then I just tried to make it. I had to be Persistent when my pugs bow fell of. I was at my desk before the parade and there was a golden star sticker on my desk so then I replaced the bow with the sticker. And I also had to be Persistent when the black paint on the pugs ear kept on disappearing, so then I just kept on trying until it worked. I love Art Car day and I hope my last art car parade will be better than the ones I have done in the past.

  12. I love art car parade. All of the art cars were so good! But overall it was really really fun! we were flexible when the real art cars did not show up.I got my idea from myself and i love America so my idea was to make a American tank. My setback was that one of the four wheels fell of so I waited a day to reattach it.

  13. I got my idea from one of my favorite games Fortnite battle royal. The hot air ballon was hard to make and it keeps falling and it still dose but I'm ok with that. I was so resilient and it was really hard but i liked how it turned out.

  14. I got my art car idea from my love of cats. I also liked Kate's idea of a unicorn car, so I decided to combine the two. I almost did covered wagon car, but I decided on a uni-cat! My biggest challenges were getting the head and horn to stay put. I used persistence to prevent them from wobbling. (It required a lot of tape!)

  15. My art car that I made was a Snapchat art car because last year I did facebook so I stuck with the topic. I worked harder when the wheels on my art car were on the wrong way and they wouldn't stick. I was flexible and persistent because the car did not go as planned. so next year I will learn from my mistakes. I will try a different way to attach the wheels and maybe make my car smaller but if it still does not go my way next year I will still be optimistic.

  16. I got my idea of a cat car from my three cats, Charlie, Palmer and Kitty. The materials I used were pipe cleaners, tape, 2 boxes and paint. My favorite part of the art car parade was well, Interviewing. This is Emmett Gleason, 13 Eyewitness news.

  17. I got the idea for my caterpillar car from a slideshow that Mrs. Taylor showed us. I saw a little train and I knew that I wanted to make something kind of like that. One of the big setback that I had is that I couldn't think of a way to connect the two boxes and the antennas wouldn't stick to the front box. I used flexibility because there was a lot of struggle for me to do this in three days.
