Summer Reading Rocks!

I CANNOT wait to start my summer reading! I am planning on beginning with a mystery about several people who are on an island. One by one, they all start disappearing! I am going to read this book along with my little sister Nicole. We will talk about the book as we go!

Please share some titles that you plan to read this summer. What genres are you interested in?

Where are your favorite places to read in the summer? Do you plan to read paperbacks, hardcover or electronically...or a combo! Don't forget audio!

Let's talk summer reading...

  2. I cant wait to start reading! I,ll probably read some RF, F and GR. Or maybe more! I read all kinds of books. Paperback, electronic, hardcovers and audio! I might end up reading everywhere! I actually have myself a challenge. I will see how many different places I can red this summer. I might read in bed, on the couch, on the beach, by the docks, in a boat and maybe in a plane! There are many more places though.

  3. I am so excited for summer and summer reading. I plan to read 30 minutes per day. I chose that number because I can still have plenty of time to play and spend time with my family. My favorite genre is graphic. I love to read in my loft.

  8. I plan to read some books with my mom some with my dad and some by myself. I want to read a variety of genres but I really want to read at least one mystery. I like to read in my room, on my bed and on the couch. Reading is fun but sometimes you just have to find the right book.

  9. One book I plan on reading is Have a Hot Time Hades. I am going to read this because I like Greek Mythology. Some other genres I like are Fantasy and graphic. I'm most likely going to do most of my reading on a plane or at camp. I think a lot of my summer is going to involve reading!

  12. I will mostly be reading chapter books this summer but I will read a few picture books. I also probably won't be reading audio books this summer they just aren't my favorite choose of reading. I will also be reading more than 10 books. I am so exited about my summer reading that I already have a giant stack of books on my desk. Summer reading is probably one of my favorite things about summer. I think summer reading is so fun and always gives you a chance to read in the summer. I also bring a book wherever I go in summer because I am always so worried I won't finish my summer reading but every time I have always read more than 10. you should never be worried about not finishing because at the end you always end up getting even more than your goal.

  13. Summer reading is not very difficult for me. My only struggle is keeping a balanced reading diet. I have discovered a series called Land of Stories. Also, there is a series entitled Amulet that sounds interesting. Sadly, they are both fantasy, and so I will need to read other books as well. I plan to read mostly physical books.l I enjoy reading in a bed, an armchair, or anywhere cozy.

  15. I have already finished 3 books! 2 Are graphics, 1 was an interesting RF, called Hello, Universe. It was super intense, happy, but for the most part, very, very sad. It features a sad, timid 11 year old named Virgil Salinas, a deaf, clever young girl named Valencia Somerset, an energy -filled, star-reading 12 year old named Kaori Tanaka, and a rude, coldhearted, young man called Chet "The Bull" Bullens. in the climax, Virgil and Gulliver (Virgil's pet guinea pig) are trapped in a well. Courtesy of Chet. Even though Virgils mind is "stuck on" death, he finds a wandering spirit in the well. about 3-4 hours later, Valencia, Kaori, and her little sister, save Virgil "from death". That story, to me, was a no question, BLACK HOLE! I absolutely loved it! I hope all of you find a black hole book!

  17. I love summer reading and I cant wait for it! One of the reasons why I like it is because you get to read any kind of book. Just like hardcovers, paperbacks, audio, and even electronically. This summer, I am going to read book [or newspaper] that I can find. I am mostly going to read the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series and the Big Nate series. Some paces that I am going to read are on the plane, at camp [of course] and anywhere that I go. On the plane, I am mostly going to read audio books and the electronic books. At my house, I am mostly going to read paperbacks and hardcovers. I hope that I still have enough books to cut those few months!
