What did you enjoy most about our experience?
Great I really want to see it.Loved the skype call the best skype call i have ever done in my life.It was so cool and she has her two dogs she calls them her little helpers.She has a Note Book just like us. And when she gets writers block she says she eats lots of Oreo's and clears her mind by doing other things. And she has a desk she writes in.And she loves to write outside on her porch.And Mookie is really real she said he was real but she wanted the so she put that he has 3 finger and that he is homeless so she kinda gets real people then changes it up.

ReplyDeleteI thought that Barbara O' Connor was a funny person. I think that her "helpers" are SO adorable! I hope the kids next year get to have the experience of skyping with her. I am glad that we did that because we got to learn about her. I hope everybody LOVED it!
ReplyDeleteI liked the Skype call with Ms.O'Conner. I learned that when you have writer's block you eat a lot of Oreos or go do something else and then come back with fresh eyes but if that doesn't work then think of what if? I also learned that Ms. O'conner toke the real Mookie and put her in her book and changed him up a little. it was very fun talking to Ms.O'conner. I hope we get to Skype her again!

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Best Skype call I'v ever had! Acutely best call I'v ever had! So my favorite part about the Skype call was that all my friends got their questions answered. And I also like the thread she used , The more you stir the more it stinks! Loved visiting with Barbara O'Conner! By the way Skyler nice but long comment. TaTa!
ReplyDeleteI really loved the skype call with Ms. O'Conner it was so cool that she had a writers notebook like us and it was the exact same kind and brand! It was also really cool that she actually met somebody like Mookie! I really loved doing the skype call I really want to do one again
ReplyDeleteI was in a huge writers block and when she told us about how to get out of writers block I thought it was rather interesting . (eat a whole lot of oreos)

I LOVED skyping with Barbra O'conner! IT was SOOOOOO much FUN! I liked the part when she showed us her dogs. She had 2 dogs.
ReplyDeleteI can't belive that we actually skped Barbara O'Conner she is such a great auther I also can't belive that she actually knows somebody named Mookie because she has an awesome imageination I realy thought that he was a fake person! it is so cool to skype an auther that knows one of her characters in her book. I might want to be an auther when I grow up it sounds really fun! the skype call was really awesome I loved to listen to everybody's questions. I even remember one of my questions that I said and this is exactly what I said, When you got the phrase " the more you stir it the more it stinks" did ypou get anything else that you wrote in your book from him? I think it was Nick that asked if Mookie was a real person I really can't belive that she put Mookie in her book!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVED THE SKYPE CALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe skype with Barbara O'Connor was the best we asked the BEST questions and she gave us the BEST answers. I never knew this but Barbara O'Connor has the same writers notebook as us with the cardboard pocket folder. One person asked how Barbara O'Connor gets her ideas one: she eats OREOS !!!! two: she likes to take walks or just goes outside and enjoys the nature. three: Barbara O'Connor asks herself WHAT IF......... I think Ben said if Barbara O'Connor ever knew someone like Mookie from my favorite book How to Steal a Dog. And turns out she does know someone named Mookie and thats probably how she made the character Mookie.

Guys it's such a good video! I've watched it like five times. Do you guys like it? So I had a great time with Mrs.O'Conner and she was very nice.And I can't believe that she acuatly had a real poster the of little dog Willie! In fact that was so smart to do a book about Willie that was lost! I'm gonna start looking around like Mrs. O'Connor for ideas.
