First Americans

Thousands of years ago, only animals and plants filled North, Central and South America.

How did the first people find there way to the Americas? What happened once these native people arrived?

  2. The first people found their way to the Americas mainly on foot. These native people had to work hard every day to survive. They had to find food, make clothes, build homes, protect their families, and some even had to make canoes.

  6. Well, lets go back to the ice age, they all wandered Pangea, and hunted down large animals like mameths and whales. Then some water rose and created a brige, natives walked across it and went to the americas. Next they formed large groups called tribes. They probilly found out a way to make fires. They used stone to create spears, and arrows. And made harpoons with wood.

  8. I think the Native Americans walked to the Americas on a land bridge formed by the ocean dropping. And they probably survived by hunting animals like whales and mammoths.

  11. I think they traveled in canoes across the ocean. Once these native people arrived they traveled through the woods and gathered plants for survival. I also think they hunted animals and built teepees and lived in them.

  15. I thank that they formed in groups called tribes and they the groups traveled across the land bridge with each other and they found spots to build their tribes. Made house and got their food from animals and plants. Made weapons and they needed houses too. They had to choose a chief.
