  1. I could write for days about books! You all know I love The Little Prince. I have read it many times. It is really a fable about friendship and love. One of my dearest friends gave me the book in 1988. Here is one of my favorite memorable lines...

"But if you tame me, it will be as if the sun came to shine in my life."

To me this means, friendship brings warmth and light to your life. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys fables and learning more about friendship and connections.

  2. On Fridays I wait all day for independent reading.

I read a lot of Dan Gutman books. My favorite author is Mitch Albom. I like sports books. When I read good books I get a movie in my mind that is why I like reading so much.I read 20 books so far this school year. I read Tuesdays with Morrie and some other Mitch Albom books. I am reading Heaven is for Real. It is about a boy who says he went to heaven. It is very intersting. I am also reading about Jack Robinson. He was a part of the Pepper street Gang. They made all kinds of trouble. He lived in Pasadena. He went to Muir Tech. He was a all around athlete.

    1. Oh my goodness, Isaac. I really enjoyed reading the book Heaven is for Real. It is such a beautiful story about a young boy that was so sick and then became healthy again. I read it after a lady in Sunday school recommended it because her son has cancer. He is doing much better now. We like a lot of the same books, Isaac!

  4. Right now, I'm really into this series called The Doll People by Ann M. Martin, Laura Godwin, and Brian Selznick. It is a three book series. Right now, I'm on the third book. I think the book I like the most right now is the second. I think the second book, is full of action. When you find a series you like, it makes you want to read more. I hope you find a book or series you like after reading this!

  5. I read Fudge-a-mania by Judy Blume. I liked it because Fudge had a sense of humor. He met this girl named Sheila and he thought that he was going to marry her until he met Mitzi. Fudge's brother is Pete. He says that Sheila has cooties. I also like the My Weird School series by Dan Gutman. These books crack me up when I read them. If you like funny books you should read these books.

  6. I am reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
I like it because it is set in a magical world. I have gotten to the exciting part of quidditch. Quidditch is like dodge ball on a flying broomstick. There are rings that you throw the dodge balls in. There is a gold ball called a snich and it flies fast. If you get it, you win. It is Harry's first time to play against the other three houses. I hope he wins!

  8. I am reading series called Brixton Brothers. Written and illustrated by Mac Barnett. His name is Steve and his best friends name is Dana. Dana helps steve with his cases.I am on the last one number 4. It is called Danger Goes Berserk. It is a mystery book. Mystery books are my favorite. I have read #1 #2 #3. I think number 2 was the best one. Number 4 is pretty good. It is about a mean team of surfers who stole someones surf board. Steve is trying to get the board back. In the book there is also people stealing boats from other people. So he has two cases at once. I would be stressed out. Over the summer I read the first Genies Files. It is by my favorite author Dan Gutman. It is also a mystery book. The main characters are Coke and Pepsi. I know they are funny names. There family is traveling around the world for a vacation. Someone is following them and trying to kill them.

  18. I just finished the book The tale of Despereaux.

It's a book about a mouse who was born with his eyes opens. He isn't even one bit like other mice. Unlike other mice, Despereaux goes into sight of the Princess Pea and the King. And this was a B-A-D bad thing! It was bad because the queen had died because she had gotten scared to death when a rat fell into a her soup one night. And since then, spoons, bowls, pots, and all other thing used to make soup were ban from the kingdom. They were ban from the kingdom because the queen's favorite food was soup, and if the king ate soup he would think of the loss of his wife. So from then on, whoever was seen with spoons or bowls, or was caught making soup went to the duengen. And if you still don't know why it is bad, it's because rats are related to mice.

  19. I'm reading the book Riding Freedom by Pam Muñoz Ryan, illustrated by Brain Selznick.
"In the mid-eighteen hundreds, when the east was young and the west was yet to be settled, a baby was born, named Charlotte. When she was nothing but a bundle, she surprised her parents and puzzled the doctor by surviving several fevers. Folks say that any other baby would have died, but Charlotte She walked before most babies could crawl. She talked before most babies babbled, and she never cried. Unless someone took something away from her.'' I put a part of the book in my post because that is my personal favorite part in the book. The book Riding Freedom is about a girl named Charlotte who is at an all boys orphanage. Charlotte's favorite place in the orphanage was the stables. Charlotte always rode a horse named Freedom. Vern, the man who took care of the horses, taught Charlotte how to ride a horse on Freedom. One day, Charlotte rode Freedom in a race at the orphanage. The next morning, Freedom had died. When Charlotte got to the stables after her chores were done, Vern told her," The infection got the best of her Charlotte.'' Vern also said that he and some of the older boys had buried her earlier that day, and that he had spent the morning out there. I'm not going to say any more about the book so I don't spoil it for anyone. I hope some of you read it!!

  20. I read the book I Survived The Titanic. In the book, a boy named George his sister Phoebe, and their Aunt Daisy are going together in a first class room. The plan was to meet George and Phoebe's dad on the dock. George and Phoebe were visiting Aunt Daisy, and Aunt Daisy decided to take George and Phoebe on the Titanic because Aunt Daisy's husband had died, and they were planning on going on the Titanic together. But because of his death, Aunt Daisy was going to sell the tickets, but then she decided that she would take George and Phoebe instead. George is a huge troublemaker!! On the Titanic, George slid down the banister, and took down a lady!! Thankfully, the lady wasn't hurt. There are lots of other books in the I Survived series like I Survived The Shark Attack. If you like adventure books, then you should read this series.
