Top of the Mountain!
Writers,we have all been working on plotting out our stories on story mountains. As we know, the event at the top of the mountain is when the problem is at its worst or most challenging point. Please share your mountain tops with us! What is the most intense part of your story...the problem at its worst!

Ruby Jane Walters has been wanting a job at Kinkaid for a long time. When she finally is offered her "dream job" teaching second grade teacher, she should be overjoyed. But, she is not! ReplyDeleteSeara and Maddy really want to keep the cat but their mom keeps saying no! They beg and beg but the only reply they get is NO! "I would let you keep this cat but both me and your brother have allergies to cats!" mom said. That is my big problem, bye!

ReplyDeleteMy story is going great! The thing at the top of my mountain is when we can not find are way out of the grave yard. What happens in my story is at the beginning is Lucy is sitting on a rock in the cemetery. Well her and her howl family. They are in Virginia to go to someone's wedding. Lucy's cousin Lizza passed away the year befor. The week that they are there to see the wedding is the same week as Liza's birthday. Everyone is in the graveyard to see her grave. Than Lucy, her cousins (Gretchen, Libby, and Amelia) and their uncle get in the car to go to lunch. But instead of getting closer to the exit they get farther and farther and deeper into the graveyard. What will happen?

My top of the mountain is when Marie grace is acusing Chelea of doing something she is not. And then Wilber tries to help but is it useless. He tries everything! But nothing can stop that fight. I can not wait to see you at School!
ReplyDeleteMy top of the mountain is when the dragon starts to spit fire at the village. And people are screaming and yelling at the top of their lungs. It's a very dangerous and sad moment. But at least they get revenge. To find out more read the book!
ReplyDeleteThey were arriving to the Soccer field . While she was playing she fell and broke her leg . And she tried to get up but she cannot she cannot move her leg. So they called the ambulance. It turns out she broke her leg. The doctor said it is sad to say but you can not play in the tournament that She been working on the whole year...

DeleteAt the top of my mountain is when the lose Lucky. Lucky is the dog that is in the story. Their is a loud sound and it scared Lucky but nobody was paying any action to him. Then Suzy the little girl starts to look for him. after a long time they give up and start go home. But little do they know he was at the house the hool time....
ReplyDeleteAt the top of my mountain is when Austin and Roderick fight. They pull pranks on each other. Because Roderick gives Austin stitches. They also through balls at each other at recess.
ReplyDeleteNick was on a summer vacation in Santorini,Greece with his family. He waited a very long time for a donkey ride. When it was his turn, he was so excited. Nick jumped on the donkey but the donkey bit him! Nick fell off the donkey. He tried to break his fall but instead broke his arm!
ReplyDeleteThe top of the mountain in my story is when my two main characters (Dalia and Duncan) get left at home by themselves when their dad leaves on an urgent business meeting. and it's their birthday! And they are having their birthday party at a bowling alley. First they think about calling a taxi. But then they remember that they live in a small neighborhood and there are no taxis! And then I don't know what they are going to try next.

ReplyDeleteAt the top of my mountain, Patrick gets a dwarf disease. When Patrick wakes up the next day he realizes that he has the dwarf disease. When Patrick starts to notice Patrick starts to panic. It changes Patrick's life because he can not be a football quarterback during recess and he can not play basketball any more. But the biggest problem is his friends don't see him any more. So his friends think he's not there any more but Patrick really is. How are they going to treat Patrick now?...
ReplyDeleteI am writing a story about when my Uncle Mills shot a cow with his little Red-Rider B.B. gun. The cow got so mad at him that he chased him up a tree. Then, Uncle Mills got stuck up there for 5 whole hours and fell asleep. When he woke up, the cow was still at the bottom snarling and gasping. He was still mad! It was 2 hours later, and Uncle Mills could not even believe it! So, he kept waiting up in the tree. Finally, three hours later, the cow left. Uncle Mills ran as fast as he could home. No one believed his story when he got home. But when he told me, I believed him. But he plays a lot of tricks, so no one knows if he is really telling the truth. The part when he gets stuck in the tree is at the top of my mountain.

in my book I am going to make my problem is where Tom my main characters brother and the Queen of England get captured! Tom has to save them. I am starting my first draft. This will be awesome.
