Today we all made great progress writing our Personal Narratives! Some people were finishing story boards, some people were stretching first, second and third drafts and others were designing covers!
Please share what you did well today! It was an amazing writing day for us!
I had a wonderful writing conference with Max and Christian. Both boys were stretching second drafts. They added weather, "show not tells" and other true details. I also had an awesome conversation with Andrew A. We read his first drafts and then I asked him questions. His answers gave us many more details to add tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI finished my cover. My book is called the catch.It was very fun making our covers.
ReplyDeleteMy small moment book in writer's workshop is about my first home run. I've written two pages about it. I talked about how i got my award for my home run and I was in the home run derby. And the championship game. I had a conference with Ms. Papadakes and max we talked about how we could make our books longer. She taught us how to describe more about our books.
ReplyDeleteFirst what I did well was that with Andrew I made an awesome Pokeball book cover. It was red on the top white on the bottom and black in the middle. Next Mrs. P and I worked on editing my draft. She said that she thought that I had some good ideas for my story. Also Mrs. P and I helped some other people with their projects. I thought I did that pretty well. I also finished up some details on my draft which worked out pretty well. I hope everyone has good covers and has fun working on your drafts (:

I think I did well on my cover. I did three to four drafts and now I am finished with my drafts. And now I am starting my cover. My book is called My First Fish.
ReplyDeleteIn writers workshop the first thing I did was edit my work. Then I used my pencil to decorate the front cover of my book. Then I went over my pencil marks with markers. I thought I had a great writers workshop today!

DeleteToday in Writer's Workshop I finished my first stretching draft. I also finished editing the story and the cover of my personal narrative book. I made great progress in my book. I also added a pop up on my cover that said: " Duhn Duhn Duhn! "
ReplyDeleteToday in writer's workshop I stretched out my draft and started on my book cover. The title is the claw. Some of my friends helped me choose the title. I am so excited to finish my book!

ReplyDeleteToday I finished writing my book and I worked on my cover. The book was called Squash Tournament. I had lots of fun and I had a lot of writers workshop minutes. It was so much fun!!!
ReplyDeleteIn writer's workshop I started my cover. My book is called down under. It is about how I went on 3 boats in one day and went tubing, cliff diving and swimming. It was a very good day.

ReplyDeleteI started work on my cover in writer's workshop, and I also worked on another personal narrative. My first book is titled Jammed, and my other book is called Burned. i think that I did well stretching out Burned.
ReplyDeleteMy book is titled "The Big Catch" and it is about me catching a rainbow trout in Colorado. I was working on my cover today. The fish on the cover is going to have many colors!
ReplyDeleteI am making a book and the title is I caught my first shark. I finished my first draft and I am working on my second. I can't wait to start the book. I feel like we got a lot done today.
ReplyDeleteMy book's title is "My First Time Shark Fishing." I completed my second draft. I also helped Max make his Pokemon Go cover for his book. I really think we got a lot done today in class today. I hope we finish our book soon!
