Today Candace Fleming had the best presentation I have ever seen. She is the author of a lot of books and I Like all of them. She loved to tell stories to every person she knows, and she is the best author I know.
Candace Fleming is a great author. She told me that the giant squid has an eye the size of a soccer ball and that giant squids have 3 hearts! She writes her books on things that actually happen to her. One of her books was about a boy who brought a cake to a princess, but didn't have anything but a strawberry to give to her. I'm excited to read more of her books soon!
Candace Fleming was great. I loved how her dog belted up the stuffed animal giant Squid. I was very surprised that the ladys thing worked and actual saw a real Giant Squid. I loved how she told us about how she got her story about the jack bring a cake but was left with a strawberry but the princess could not eat so jack told the princess why he had nothing to bring and she said that jack brought her a story.
Today I thought Cadence Fleming had a very good presention. She is very funny. I thought the light under water was cool. Her dog was so cute. My favorite book that she wrote is Ben Franklins in my Bathroom. I cannot believe the squids eye was as big as a soccer ball thats huge!I liked her story about the seagull. She is a really good author.
I loved the visit. Candace Fleming is really funny. I can't believe she gave her dog a giant squid. The video was really funny. I also like how she writes on paper for her draft.
Today Candice Fleming came to kinkaid. She has a good sense of humor. Here are somethings I know about her so far... She has a son named Michael he likes video games. Also she told us a story about two ten year old's who found a giant squid's eye and it was as big as a soccer ball. Her dog is really cute but he is Bad. And Candice makes books on what really happened to her and makes it into a book. I hope you enjoyed my blog, I will write next Wednesday. Bye

Candace Fleming had a big since of humour. Her stories were funny and interesting. I would never think that she would love to be the author and her husband is the illustrator. It was an awesome fight when her dog faught the Giant Squid.
Candace Fleming is awesome. She is so funny. I thought it was cool how she saw something at the beach and made it into a book. It is also cool how he husband illustrates it! How she got the idea for Giant Squid was awesome! Candace Fleming is one of the best visiting author yet!
Candace Fleming is really funny. She told a story of two boys walking on the beach then a giant squids eye rolls on the beach. They bring it to the nearest science lab. Then the put it in a close museum. She was so interested that she made a book called giant squid. It took her five drafts. Her illustrator was right up stairs. She gave it to him and he drew six pictures of a giant squid and had to pick one picture. Then he drew six pictures of a barracuda chasing small squid and again could only pick one. Once she finished that story she told us another story of a mail man walking and giving out invitations for the queens birthday party then accidentally, the mail man's invitation flew into Jack's house. Then he thinks it's for him but he has nothing to give the queen because he is poor. All he has is a cake with a strawberry on top. While he's walking suddenly birds come down and get some of the cake. Then a troll takes some of the cake. Jack went into the forest. It was dark. He lit ten candles. By the time he was out, the candles were gone. Finally, he was there. All he had was a strawberry. Then the guard said the princess was allergic to strawberries. And then he talked to the princess about what happened and she said that you told me a story. I really liked it. Candace Fleming was awesome.
Candace Fleming is so awesome! I can't believe that she is here at the Kinkaid School! Her presentation was probably the best one I have ever seen! Candace Fleming is very funny, and I like the books she writes: some fiction, and some nonfiction. To be honest, I only have read one of her books. It is called "The Fabled Fourth-Graders of Aesop Elementary". It is a very good book and I recommend it to everyone! Candace Fleming is so funny! I love her stories. The one about her and her son going to the beach and trying to get a piece of cake was so funny! She has a dog called Oxford, but she calls him "Obnox-ford", because he is obnoxious. It was really funny when she showed us the video of Oxford tearing up that little giant squid stuffed animal. She taught us all that for writing, "Five times is the charm"! It is so awesome that a giant squid has a eye the size of a soccer ball! Also, it has 3 HEARTS! On its tongue it has lots of sharp blades to crush its food into a slimy paste. It does not hurt the giant squid's beak, though, because it is very hard. It needs to crush it into a paste, because the esophagus travels through its hearts, and the paste will become easier to digest. The video about "e-Jelly" was the COOLEST thing I think I have ever seen in my WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE!!! It was amazing how the two ten year olds found that eyeball. The video taken by e-Jelly was so cool! It was so amazing that I think giant squids are now one of my favorite animals! Candace Fleming is a great visiting author!
Candace Fleming sure had a bunch of stories to tell! That's cool that she bases things on real life events. Mrs. Fleming sounds like she's really interested in topics that she writes about. I sometimes like to tell true stories. In the video we watched, when she was little, she liked to tell stories that were fiction. I'm gonna try her way of thinking of story ideas. I think I could make some good books if I use that writing process. Remember, Fifth time's the charm!
Candace Fleming was very funny, and gross sometimes! The way she talked about the giant squid eye and the glass was gross. When she talked about the time she told her son that he needs to put down the remote and get to the beach on this beautiful summer morning, it was super duper funny. She likes to be messy instead of neat, opposite of me...I love to be neat, not messy. But I think it is a good strategy. I was wow'd that the first video of a giant squid and it's habitat was filmed in the last 6 years. I am glad she visited our school.
Yesterday we learned about Candace Fleming. She wrote her first draft on paper. Who needs technology when you have paper? Did you know she writes all kinds of genres? One of my favorite book she wrote is Strong Heart. It was funny when she acted out a kid from one of her presentations. She asked him what is your first step in writing? He got out paper and smacked the top of his mechanical pencil. I think its pretty cool she lived in Idaho. That's where I'm going with my family this summer.

I thought Candace Fleming was funny and incredibly nice! she was a grate author and her dog was cute and deadly! She has come up whit grate stories and thinks of some of the most boring things and turns them in to a amazing stories! I really thought she was amazing!
Candace Fleming Was very cool. she was incredibly nice and I kind of wish I got to stay longer . that was so cool that her dog was named Oxford like the college. The Giant squid I would probably freak me out I probably run all the way to China and the fact that she knows all about those squids and then she wrote it that is amazing. Candice Fleming was very Nice and I hope she comes again soon
