Do you think it is ever okay to do something bad to do something good?
Georgina stole a dog to get the reward money. Stealing is against the law. Do you think Georgina's plan is good or bad?

DeleteI think Georgina's heart is in the right place. She desperately wants to help her mom get her family a place to live. Georgina's living in a car is really changing all of her relationships. It is hard to continue to be friends with Louanne Godfrey when Georgina can't go to Brownies or ballet. She is also looking so unkempt. So, while I understand why she is doing a bad thing, I still think stealing is ALWAYS wrong. She has no idea what will happen that she doesn't expect!

DeleteI don't think it is ever ok to break the law to help get a place to live . Stealing a dog could get Georgina in a lot of trouble if Carmella finds out! Georgina has a good reason to steal but stealing is NEVER the right thing to do.

ReplyDeleteWell i agree with Ms.Papadakes. She is living in a car I mean that is pretty tough. And she kind of has a reason to steal the dog but then she has a reason to not cause that is against the law. And her best friend sort of isn't her best friend now that is a pretty hard life.

ReplyDeleteWell, she has a very very good reason for stealing a dog, but it`s still very wrong. Stealing Willy is not nice to Carmella because Willy is an important part of her family. Also, it is hard on Willy because he doesn't get proper food and he is scared.
ReplyDeleteI thank its bad because Carmella might figure out and georginas mom might go to jail and toby and georginas might get in series trouble and they will have no one to feed them and other stuff. but there plan could work but it looks like its not.

I think Georgina is really confused about whether she should steal or not because she keeps feeling the devil on one shoulder and the angel on the other!

ReplyDeleteHalf and half because she has a reason to, so she can get a house, and be able to take a shower, and so she gets her friend back, and go to ballet, and girl scouts. But then it is against the law she could go to jail, and worst of all it could cause death because that is extremely wrong cause it is against the law, and if her mom finds out that would not be good cause they would probably get in a huge fight. And why is she making Toby do it cause that is just making him get in trouble to. I thinks it is 70 percent bad and 30 percent good. And if Carmella finds out that means that she trusted someone that she can't trust ever again and she would probably die in tears. And Willy is never getting fed and doesn't have water or any company and he is probably scared and doesn't know what is happening and where he is. Know I think it is bad.

DeleteShe has a very good reason to do it. Personally think if I were Georgina if I stole Willy I would just put Willy on the door step ring the doorbell and run away. Carmella would be so happy and she would not spend a dime but Georgina would be anonymous.

DeleteI think she is doing something bad to do something good. The good thing is that she is trying to help her mom by steeling willy so they can try to keep healthy. Cause if she dose not start out with a good start she might tern out like Carmela. The bad part about of steeling willy is that steeling is it's against the law. I love the book!

ReplyDeleteI know Georgina HATES being homeless and is begging her mom for a house and its taking forever so she is desperate for money. Also, Georgina is clever. She saw a poster of lost dog and she thought of stealing a dog and waiting for the reward money for the dog. I wouldn't steal for something good unless life or death.
ReplyDeleteRight now she is listening to her devil, you should not always listen to your devil but on the most desperate things you might have to. So three quarters bad one quarter good. I think Carmella might find out. I mean, it is kind of hard to give the money to the person who inspired you to make the signs. They might not get the money because Mookie might see the sign and turn in Willy. Carmella might not get 500 bucks. Their mom might not let them turn in Willy because she might not have time. Sadly, Willy might die because he does not have the proper food.

ReplyDeleteWilly because he is probably scared and he isn't eating well. She is also putting herself and Toby in danger because they are running across the highway, skipping school, and talking to strangers. But I don't think it is EVER okay to do something bad to do something good.
