I loved Ralph Flecher he was so FUNNY. He had so many helpful tips. Like write about what you know best! I like how he made a book about family and kindof turned it around, like it wasn't just family it was both family and funny. He had the funniest storys to tell! He was one of the best aouther visits EVER!!!
ReplyDeleteI liked seeing Ralph Fletcher because he knows how to interact with kids more than the other authors because the other authors because they are more grownup type. I love seeing visiting authors because I can talk to them and they will respond.

I like how he said that he writes best about what he knows best that was a very good tip. I also liked the book Sandman It made so much sense!! The Midnight Snack was fun and scary at the same time I personally think it should be written and published.
ReplyDeleteI thought Ralph Fletcher was funny. I liked his poems . If I were a publisher I would publish Midnight Snack. If it were published I would of read it a long time ago. I thought that was a good idea to write about his family because he could write so many details.
ReplyDeleteI like that he said that he had writer's note book! (because, I have one too) I liked that he got a bunch of ideas from his awesome family. From his mom,he got the idea for Sandman. It was really nice meeting him!
ReplyDeletethese are the tipsI liked from mr. Flecher.
ReplyDelete(1) write about the what you now best
(2) keep a writer's note book
(3) plot out the story
One of my favorite tips from Ralph Fletcher was write about what you know best. And what he knew best was his family. He was the oldest of NINE KIDS!!!!! He said he has written about 42 books! He's sooooooooooo funny, and he had a lot of storys to share with us about his little brothers and sisters.
ReplyDeleteRalph Fletcher told us to write about something you know best about. I really agree with that. I mean, who would want to write about something you have no BK on. he also was the oldest of 9 KIDS! Thats a lot if you ask me. He did most of his books about his family. I can't wait to start reading Fig Pudding. It sounds So good. See you later on Ms. Papadakes's Hideaway!
ReplyDeleteRalph Fletcher is a very funny author I liked how he explained his brother Tom, that would be very boooooooooring sitting under a kitchen table. And how he went to the park and he played the statue game with his mom and dad. There was one memorable line that really stuck out to me, he said "There is one thing that will never be published ever" his writers notebook. I really like his story idea for midnight snack it sounds like a really interesting story to me.I think Ralph Fletcher was the most kid friendly and funniest author we have had so far this year. I also liked his book The Sand Man it was very detailed and had great illustrations. And he had great poetry.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more!! Ralph Fletcher was the most hilarious author I've met! His tips were great! I especially liked when he told me about his book of fears, glad I'm not the only one!(:! Ralph's all time imagination book ' The Sandman ' is a very creative idea. I would have probably never thought of that!!! Ralph'll always be written in my book!!! see you next time @ MRSPAPADAKES'HIDAWAY!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI like that he wrote about his family. I thought he was a good speaker for kids. I can't stop thinking about his book that he might write called Midnight Snack. I thought Tom his brother was VERY funny. I was happy that he specialized in boy writing. I would like to know what inspired him to become a writer. I thought it was interesting that he wrote picture books, chapter books and poem books.
ReplyDeleteI like Ralph Fletcher because he nos more about kids and the kind of books they are interested in. I liked that he wrote what he knew like his family and the stories his Mom told him like the Sand Man. I think his poems where really good. I cant believe that Ralph Fletcher wrote 42 BOOKS!!!! That is Awesome.
ReplyDeleteFig pudding is really good I cant wait to get farther into the book.

2.You can right about anything
I liked the story midnight snack I think it was cool that he made that story right there he didn't plan it made it right there. I liked the book sandman because it totally described why we have stuff in our eyes.

He works god with kids. His poems make me smile. He is vary funny. He writes a lot about his family. His book's are also funny.
ReplyDeleteI like how Ralph Fletcher writes about what he knows best. I can't believe he was the the oldest of NINE children. That is a ton of children. Their parents must have had to work sooooooo hard. I think midnight snack would be a great book and have a lot of action in it. I loved Ralph Fletcher because he was soooooooooooo good at talking to children and had a great personality . I think his stories about Tom under the table where so funny. I would be bored if I had to sit under the table for that long. All of his books where really good. I had a connection to the book sandman because in the movie RISE OF THE GUARDIANS Sandman was one of the guardians. I think it is cool how he got the idea from his personal life and turned his awesome story into a awesome book. I haven't read the book spider boy but it sounds pretty interesting. I love how Kinkaid is able to ask visiting authors to come to our school. Ralph Fletcher was awesome, funny, and very good with kids.
