Winter Break highlights!
Please share any highlights about your winter break! We would love to hear about your travels, your family, your fun activities...whatever you feel like sharing!
During winter break, my family and I went to New York City. One of my Highlights was seeing my camp friend Lucy. We went out to lunch and had a great time. I also liked riding the subway twice! We also went to see Pippin (a broadway show.) I went to so many different restaurants I had never been to and tried octopus. Sounds gross. But it tasted kind of good. We even saw the tree all lit up at night in Rockefeller Center! I love the city during the holidays, even though it's sometimes super crowded.
During the break I mostly stayed home. I always am here for Christmas. But I did go to South Texas and went hunting. I didn't shoot anything big the only thing I shot was a rabbit. Here is the story. We were in a blind and didn't shoot see anything. My dad my brother and I were in the blind. We were about to leave but then we heard some snorting in the bushes and out came some hogs. By the way it was my brothers to to shoot. There were about 7 hogs and then everything got quiet and then BOOOOOOM my brother shot one of the hogs. I was happy for him. When we were about to go look at the hog my dad spotted a little rabbit. So we got the gun and I aimed and them a pulled the trigger and flop, the rabbit fell to the ground. So me and my brother both shot something. But I mostly stayed home. Thats my winter break highlight.
During winter break my family went Amsterdam, London and Paris. In Amsterdam we went on a boat tour, went to the Anne Frank House and the Van Gogh museum. We also went to an outdoor shopping mall. I ate lots of French fries there. In London we went on the London Eye and we went to the Churchill War Rooms and we went to the see Billy Eliot and Matilda. We also went to the Tower of London and Madam Toussards. In Paris we went on the Eiffel Tower, to the Louvre and the Musee D'Orsay. I got to buy souvenirs. We did a bus tour in Paris and London. In London we saw the food courts at Harrod's store. I loved going on winter break and it was a really fun trip.
I went skiing in Steam Boat Springs. I went to ski school. I went down greens and blues. Greens are the easiest runs to ski down. Blues are more difficult. I made it to Level 4 in ski school.
I went to the top of the mountain. And I have a bloody story to tell. I was going up on a little side hill on a blue run. It was very bumpy. I went into the powder. Powder is snow that has not been skied on and is super fluffy. It can make people wipe out. I did just that. My ski popped up and hit me in the mouth. I spat. Blood came out. The snow turned red.
We went back to the condo. I felt a hole with my tongue. My tooth had punched through my cheek. That is how I got my piercing on the mountain.
I had some family over for Christmas break: my grandma from Illinois. She bought an i Phone and an i Pad. I got a lot of chocolate and I mean A LOT of it, milk chocolate is my favorite! I got something that I totally was not expecting, Battro Borgs these little robots that fight each other and you have these controllers, say you do a right punch if you are holding the controller right the robot will also do a right punch! So all in all it was a pretty good Christmas break.
For winer break I went to Arkansas and Texarkana. When we were at Arkansas we were there for about 3 days on one of those days we opened our presents, and ever since I got there I had been looking at this super long present that was under the tree. Finally the day came and I was super exited when I opened it. I was shocked to see a gun, and it was a 28 gauge shotgun. Here is the background about it. It used to be my grandfathers when he was about my age. He was going out of town for his birthday and his parents had put the gun in the back of the car. When they got there his parents gave him the gun, and that's how I got that gun. When I was in Texarkana we had our real christmas with our other grandparents. Then we flew home and we ran inside to see what Santa gave us because Santa brought them to Houston instead of Texarkana. After that we went to Mexico and had a blast. And thats my winter break.
We normally travel during Christmas but this year my mom (who is a doctor) was on call and we had to stay in Houston. We did lots of fun things and had lots of family visit us during the holidays. My uncle Edward came into town and we went bike riding with him and it was lots of fun. Then after he left, my aunt Camille and my cousins Cameron, Carson & Callie came and we played and we hung out. After they left, my uncle Russell and my aunt Lee came and brought my cousin Tessa. We had a great time playing with all of our new Christmas gifts including our new Razor motorcycles. We also went to the Arboretum and we saw a movie and we got to go to Battlefield Houston where we had so much fun playing laser tag games. Then our old nanny from San Antonio (Mari) came to visit and helped my mother with a bunch of things around the house. We saw the Hobbit and ate out at a bunch of restaurants.
During the winter break, I went to Lost Pines. We played A LOT of football. We also played in a kickball game there, the field was small so I hit two Home Runs. Then we went to Fredrecksburg. While we were there, we went to the museum on WWII(WorldWar 2.) Then we came home and rested a lot from our adventures at Lost Pines and Fredrecksburg.
This winter break we drove to Miami to visit my dad's family. When we got there we went to my grandmother's house and after we went to eat at our favorite Cuban restaurant. The next day we went out on my dad's best friend's boat. I even got to drive it at full speed! We also went to a really fun New Year's party. I played a lot and made new friends. After our visit we drove back home 20 hours!
This winter we stayed home and everybody else was gone in our neighborhood so we had a lot of pet sitting jobs like, feeding and taking care of a bearded dragon a cat, five dogs a fish and thats all.
Winter break is the best part of my year because I get to see a lot of my family that lives out of town. But I like outer holidays also but this one is my favorite. I went on a cruise with my friends. And thats why I love winter break.

DeleteI went to Dallas it was so much fun! My Mom told me I was getting a new cousin! Then I went to Kansas City it was so much fun!
