Shoshone Shout-out!
ThePeople of the Great Basin survived in smaller groups in desert-like conditions! They were tough and clever people.
Please share some of the facts that you have learned already!
I learned that the some Shoshone's houses are made out of bush and grass. I also learned that some people hunted buffalo but not all I thought that all Shoshone hunted buffalo. I thought it was kind of rude that some ate salmon and squirrel. They ate buffalo (but not all), sheep, antelope, fish and birds. I thought that was very cool. I learned that all Shoshone pierced their ears! That was so weird even boys!
I learned that boys were naked! I also learned that their tepees were made out of buffalo skin. Women gathered seeds, plants, and berries to make cakes and pies. See you at school!
Legend says that they came to the Great Basin by giving coyote a basket they said not to open it but he was curious. Whenever he took a peek, some people jumped out. this is how the shoshone came to the Grate Basin. In summer young boys went naked.
