  1. Hi I have been learning about the Shoshone tribe. They love nuts. They have a festival for nuts. It is called the pine nut harvest festival. It is the most important time of year for the Shoshone. They were very skilled at weaving. All the mothers, fathers, boys and girls had a job in the Shoshone tribe. The boys and girls did not go to school. Instead the boys and girls did work. The boys hunted with their fathers. The girls gathered plants with mothers. The Shoshone did not believe in physical punishment. The Shoshone wore very few clothes in the summer. Women wore aprons made out of deer hide or woven. Men wore clothes made of deer hide and antelope hide. During the winter, men and women wore rabbit fur for robs. The Shoshone lived in tipis. Here is who they made them... they stretched buffalo skins over poles. sometimes they lived in caves. That's all I've learned.

  4. I enjoy learning about the Shoshone tribe. An interesting thing that I have learned is that the Shoshone love nuts. They even have a festival for nuts! A thing that I have learned about their traditions is that they decorate leather clothing and goods with their bead work. The Shoshone are known for there flowers on their bead work. What I learned about family life is that a each family member has a job. The woman gather wood, the men hunted, fished and serve as leaders. The children work with the adults. Finally the boys work with the adults.
