  1. I love the Shoshone. They eat berries, leaves, roots, swamp onions, pine nuts, rabbits, and salmon. They usually go barefoot. After the 1500 they wore wool and leather clothes. Became American people in 1924. THE SHOSHONE ROCK.

  2. The Shoshone eat pine nuts, fish and rabbits. They live in the Great Basin. I found it interesting that they kidnapped their WIVES. They were at war with the Pony Express mail company because they had to deliver mail through Shoshone hunting grounds. The Shoshone are known as many names that includes Snake people because they live near the Snake River and when they go into battle they hold rattles like rattlesnakes' rattles. They had their land taken away from them by the government. Today they live on reservations in Oklahoma.

The ever popular sacagawea was a very VERY big and famous shoshone. If you do not know why she was so popular it is because she was the one who directed louis and clark. Shoshone live in the Great Basin. It is a very dry place. For hunting they split into family groups and hunt together. When they are not hunting or sleeping they are doing traditional shoshone dances such as the father dance, sun dance and the other dance I forgot! Today shoshone live in reservations in Oklahoma.
